  1. I see you’ve gone DYI on us – does this mean a marriage proposal is impending?

    What you’re really writing here is to spruce up the curb appeal while selling the house and hope to God it meets the needs of the shopper. Except that when you slap on a new coat of paint on an an aging hulk for purposes of curb appeal and stage the living room so the person can envision it as their if they move in, you’re still lying.

    You fix thinks because they need fixing – not when you want to sell it but when the problems arise. What happens to those DM printers on the first day of the new person’s job when they ask, “So where should I print to?” and you point to the POS boat ancher in the corner?

    Jeez Charney, next time we see each other, I’m taking you to a real hardware store.

    • Steve: I need to keep some content going up here, and frankly, this was a paid post. My advice would be to keep it virtual and that offices are actually irrelevant since no candidate worth hiring these days should be willing to work in one. But count me in on the hardware store roll…sounds like fun.
